Hello everyone! Well, we have finished the feeding program, and it was a huge success. Although we still have a long way to go, Elise is eating more by mouth than she ever has. She has learned to suck liquid through a straw, and loves to drink water after playing outside. Right now our lives are set to her feeding schedule, but we are adjusting. It really helps her to keep the schedule, so she knows what to expect next. Jason's Mom is in town, and we successfully all ate out for dinner last night. I was even able to feed Elise from my plate for her dinner, plus what I brought from home. It was wonderful!!! She is still getting tube feedings, because she isn't eating enough calories and liquids on her own yet. But that is what we will be working towards over the next months to year. Her reward for finishing the program was the tricycle in the pictures. She hasn't figured out the pedals yet, but likes it when we push her around. We will have a busy next two weeks, as we have fun with Jason's Mom and then my Mom. And, we will be heading to Gainesville to hopefully find a house to rent starting in August. We can't wait to get into a bigger place, and have all of our belongings with us. I hope you guys have a great two weeks. Love you all! Kristin

So glad the feeding program has helped so much. Hope it keeps getting better and easier. The pictures surely are CUTE.
Have fun and have good success at house hunting.
Love ya much,
Great-grandma Mary
Yea! So glad to hear that the program was successful. Elise looks like such a big girl on that tricycle...definitely not a baby anymore, but a toddler. Levi likes to sit on his too, but can't pedal it either. We miss you guys, and hope that you are having a wonderful start to summer, although for you it has probably felt like summer for awhile. :)
So glad to see she has such marked improvement in the feeding program! That's great. Gosh she is growing up so fast! I was reading her birthday post and thinking it seems like just yesterday she was just born. And your words truly gave me chills and a few tears too. I am so proud of Elise and her strength and will power. And you and Jason are the most amazing parents any little girl could ask for. God knew what he was doing when he gave Elise you guys :) I love you guys and miss you everyday. Take care and give Elise a xoxo from me and kyndall ;)
