Elise's first Christmas

What a Christmas Elise had! This is her playing in all the wrapping paper from her presents. She was a joy the whole day.
This was earlier in the day when she was playing in her exer-saucer. This truly is her favorite toy.
This is her first baby doll given to her by her Grandma Jane.
Here she is ready for Santa.
Sitting up all by herself in her rocking chair.
This was this weekend, a little out of order, when she was waiting for our friends Zac and Miranda to come to visit. Aren't those tights adorable!
Ok, back to Christmas, she decided to sit on the dining room table and entertain everyone.
Elise's Great Grandma was able to come stay for Christmas thanks to my brother Brad driving down to get her and taking her home. She really enjoyed spending time with Elise.
Let me tell you I had SO many pictures to choose from for this week's blog, but was able to narrow it down to 10. Plus we took over 20 videos of Elise in 3 days! So check below, I posted the 6 most interesting. I started uploading Saturday to get all the video's on, and there was one of Christmas Eve with Grandma and Grandpa Drennan that I wasn't unable to get uploaded because it was too long. We sure did have a busy week. We started out Christmas Eve lunch with my Mom, Grandma Margaret and Grandma Eleanor. Then we had dinner with Jason's Dad and Gail. Christmas day consisted of my Mom, Gma Margaret and I going to church while my Dad babysat for the first time! He did so well, putting her down for her nap and then getting her up and playing with her. I know you're thinking that babysitting is a piece of cake, but not when the baby has tubes and IV's attached. But he did really well. Then we spent the day at my Mom and Dad's while Jason had to work. But he joined us as soon as he got off work for Christmas dinner and presents. And then the day after Christmas we started out at Grandma Eleanor's house for lunch with Aunt Debbie and Don, then ended up back at my parents for dinner with my Grandma one more time before she left to go back home. THEN!, Saturday Zac and Miranda came over and gave Elise her first drum set (which you can see in a video below). And then we ended the weekend with a visit from Shad, Christy and Conner Sunday am, and Gma and Gpa Drennan and Jon for Sunday football. Phew! Oh, and today Jason is eating lunch with his Aunt Kathy and Uncle Mike (and kids), Gma Mary and his Dad and Gail for a late Christmas meal while I stay home with Elise. And you thought your Holiday's were busy! So now this week we are sleeping it all off, and getting back to our jobs. Elise's two top teeth have totally broken through and now the teeth on either side of her top teeth are coming in and her bottom gums are swollen, so it looks like those will be next. Which means she is getting 6 teeth at once, and still happy everyday. I'm going to end it here, because I can't wait for you to see all the videos below. I hope you all have a great week. I'll post again next Monday. Love, Kristin

Playing in wrapping paper

Here is Elise playing in the pile of wrapping paper. I think she liked this better than actually opening the presents.

Here she is with her first drum set. She took right to it, knowing exactly what to do. And when you give her a rattle, she used it like a tambourine!

Opening Uncle Brad's gift

Here she is opening a gift from her Godfather Brad.

Patty Cake with Great Grandma Margaret

This is my Grandma Margaret.

Christmas Day at Grandma's

This video actually occurred after the video below. This was after her nap. She was really into the texture of the chair, and wouldn't stop feeling it.

Waking up ready for Santa

This was my favorite video of her. She had just awoke from her nap and was ready to open presents!
