Elise's first happy meal!!  I think I was more excited than her.

Elise reading to Jason

We had a great two weeks....again.  That is nice to say.  My Mom was in town the first week, and we had nice warm weather.  We made an unscheduled trip home to Missouri last week to see Jason's Grandpa Jesse, and the rest of the family.  Elise and I haven't been home since April.  So I was able to see my parents indoor gun range, eat lots of Springfield Chinese food, and see family.  Unfortunately our trip was too short to see friends, so I'm sorry guys that I didn't even tell you I was in town.  But don't worry, Elise and I will be back in Dec.  Granndpa Jesse is looking great.  Although he is still weak and recovering from his surgery, he is getting around on his own, and has resumed many of his presurgery activities.  Jesses' daughters have been a big help in his recovery, especially Elise's Grandma Marcie who has been staying with him to care for him.  Thank you Marcie.  Elise continues to improve on her eating.  Up until two days ago I was able to almost completely stop her tube feedings, only giving her half of her breakfast through the tube.  And the last two days I decided to not tube feed her any breakfast and she has managed her intake very well.  It is amazing to think that just one month ago we were tube feeding her all of her meals.  And the last two days, I haven't tube fed her anything!!!!  We will continue this routine over the next month until she is seen at the feeding clinic Dec 1st, when we will discuss how to get her to take her meds five times a day!  That should be interesting, considering two of the doses are while she is asleep.  She will start back up with speech therapy this week, and continue it twice a week indefinitely.  We are hoping to get started with occupational therapy soon too.  Jason is hard at work again after our week off, working nights for the next two weeks.  And Grandpa Gary and Grandma Gail are coming to visit next week  Hope you enjoy the pictures, there are a lot of them.  Love you all, Kristin.
