So Elise hasn't been feeling too well over the past month and worsened over the weekend.  She is now in the pediatric ICU here in Gainesville.  I am staying with her 24/7 while Jason works.  Claire is with my mom and dad and all of Jason's family back in Missouri while we figure out what is going on.
She is on continuous oxygen, on monitors, and is anemic.  So they are testing her for causes of the anemia and worsening shortness of breath.  Jason has donated blood to give to Elise hopefully by later tomorrow or Wed.  We have a viral test that is out that should be back tomorrow to see if she has some crazy virus that is making her sick.  And they are running other tests to look for a cause for the anemia.  Not sure how long she will be here or how long she will be on oxygen.  I'll update again tomorrow when i know more.

I'm having technical difficulties with this blog.  They are not letting me post anymore pictures without purchasing more space.  So we are trying to figure out what to do.  I'll post as soon as I figure something out.

Happy Valentine's day!!  We have had a pretty uneventful two weeks.  Just playing and getting colds.  We all three cycled through a cold, Elise and Jason still have a cough and runny nose.  We had some friends over for the Super bowl, and I made way to much food.  But we had a great time.  Elise helped me rake leaves in the back yard one day, it was really cute.  She wore one glove and I wore the other.  We had rain for about a week while everyone else got snow.  This week we are back up in the 70's, and hopefully the warm weather is here to stay.  I'm sorry I don't have much else to report, which can be a good thing.  Hope you all have a great Valentine's day.  Love, Kristin

We call her bucket head

So as you can see by the pictures we have started the potty training process.  A fellow mother told me about this video and Elise loves it.  She sits on her potty in the living room and watches the DVD.  It will still be awhile until she figures it out completely, but at least this is a start.  We got some good news about her meds.  The doctors think it should be ok to wean her off the Viagra over the next few weeks instead of several months.  So by March she should be off Viagra!  Such a scary thought for us, since we still don't know if it's the meds that are keeping her pressures down or her own body growing.  So we will do another Echo in about 3 months to check her pressures again.  If they still look good off the Viagra then we will discuss weaning off Norvasc.  So good news that is a little scary.  She made it through her upper respiratory infection great after starting the steroids and nebulizer treatments.  It was a relief to see her get through it without her Mic-Key button to supplement when she didn't eat well.  Godmommy Leslie and Uncle Joel came to visit this weekend, and we went to the horse farm again.  It was Joel's first time going and I think he really enjoyed himself.  Leslie and I got a wonderful ice cream pedicure for my birthday.  They use chocolate flavored scrubs and lotions and serve us ice cream during the pedicure.  It was awesome!  I hope all of you up north make it through the snow and ice this week, we'll be thinking of all of you while at the park!  Hee hee heee heee.  Until next time, Love you all. Hey everyone!  These pictures are Elise wearing her new apron and cooking at her little kitchen.  She got the apron from Godmommy Leslie, and the kitchen from Gma Jane.  We haven't done a lot in the last two weeks, because Jason has been on night shift going in to work at 5pm and not coming home until 8am.  So we didn't get to see much of each other in the last two weeks.  Elise is getting over a minor cold right now.  It's probably the worst one she has had so far, but she is doing well.  We had to make a trip to the doctor last night to start her on steroids and some breathing treatments to help with the wheezing and cough.  But she is feeling better today already.  So Elise has a sedated echo on Friday and everything went really well.  They said her pressures looked like they were on the high side of normal, which is what the last two echo's showed as well.  So now the doctors will discuss if and how we should start reducing her meds.  I should know more about that by the next blog.  I hope all is well for everyone.  I'll post again in a couple weeks.  Love you all,
Kristin

Merry Christmas!  Elise had a great time unwrapping gifts.  She didn't quite understand why she was getting so many, and once she opened her new cars it was hard to get her to focus on the rest.  Jason is sporting her new Minnie Mouse apron from Godmommy Leslie and Uncle Joel.  And the last picture is of her all tuckered out from opening gifts, she had to take a break by laying on the entry floor.  We spent the rest of the day as a family playing with all her new toys.

New years night we had Godmommy Leslie and Uncle Joel over to visit.  We all (even Elise) stayed up until midnight to celebrate the new year.  Elise was crazy silly dancing with Joel, and rolling on the floor.  The next day us girls went to the retired horse farm to feed the horses, while the boys went up to Jacksonville for a bowl game with Joel's parents.  We had a great weekend with beautiful weather.

Elise and I played in the rain yesterday.  She was adorable in all her rain gear, and we found some great puddles to splash in. We had a great appointment with the surgeon about her mic-key button and her hernia last week.  We found out that what we thought was a hernia, and would require surgical repair, was not a hernia, but normal anatomy!  So great news that she won't have to have surgery to repair that.  But, the best news of all was when we were given the go ahead to take out her mic-key button the Monday before the appointment.  So as of Monday December 27th at 8:20 pm Elise no longer had a mic-key button!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  The hole from the button closed up over night without any leakage, and has been completely closed since.  The surgeon thought the site looked great, and said there is nothing further we need to do.  So what a happy new year we had.  Elise has come so far, in what seems like such little time.  2010 was a great year for us, and I can't wait to see what 2011 brings.
