Merry Christmas! Elise had a great time unwrapping gifts. She didn't quite understand why she was getting so many, and once she opened her new cars it was hard to get her to focus on the rest. Jason is sporting her new Minnie Mouse apron from Godmommy Leslie and Uncle Joel. And the last picture is of her all tuckered out from opening gifts, she had to take a break by laying on the entry floor. We spent the rest of the day as a family playing with all her new toys.
New years night we had Godmommy Leslie and Uncle Joel over to visit. We all (even Elise) stayed up until midnight to celebrate the new year. Elise was crazy silly dancing with Joel, and rolling on the floor. The next day us girls went to the retired horse farm to feed the horses, while the boys went up to Jacksonville for a bowl game with Joel's parents. We had a great weekend with beautiful weather.
Elise and I played in the rain yesterday. She was adorable in all her rain gear, and we found some great puddles to splash in. We had a great appointment with the surgeon about her mic-key button and her hernia last week. We found out that what we thought was a hernia, and would require surgical repair, was not a hernia, but normal anatomy! So great news that she won't have to have surgery to repair that. But, the best news of all was when we were given the go ahead to take out her mic-key button the Monday before the appointment. So as of Monday December 27th at 8:20 pm Elise no longer had a mic-key button!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The hole from the button closed up over night without any leakage, and has been completely closed since. The surgeon thought the site looked great, and said there is nothing further we need to do. So what a happy new year we had. Elise has come so far, in what seems like such little time. 2010 was a great year for us, and I can't wait to see what 2011 brings.

We really enjoyed being able to spend time with you all this weekend. I think I can now distinguish between a happy scream (cartoons on tv) versus a non-happy scream (having to change clothes) Pretty soon I will be on board with all the lingo. The rain gear is too cute. I love the boots. See you soon.

What a happy day to celebrate, losing the Mic-Key button! I'm so proud of Elise and how far she has come! Miss you all.

Yea! Wonderful news and pictures to start out the new year! So many blessings, too many to count.
Love you, Grandma Marcie
It was soooo nice to see you guys in December. Thank you for the baby gift. We are inducing on Feb. 1 if he doesn't decide to make his debut sooner, and by the way my dr. appointments have been going it doesn't look like he'll come sooner. I love the pictures of Elise playing out in the rain in her rain gear..cute, cute!! And Jason is looking pretty good sporting the apron. Ha! So glad to hear about the Mic-Key button. Wishing you all the best in 2011!
