She just loves sitting up in her bumbo seat like a big person. And, she is really starting to grab for objects.
We think Mable moves too fast for Elise to see her, so we aren't even sure Elise knows she's around.
And then she gets tired of being in the Bumbo seat, and tells her dad all about it.
So I get to comfort her. You can see that I'm loving the pajama wearing/no makeup rules of staying home with a baby.
Elise and her Dad got to lay on the couch together for the first time Tuesday. Neither of them slept, but she seemed to enjoy it.
Then we headed off to Silver Dollar City in Branson. It was a rainy day, so the temperature was nice, and the sun didn't beat down on us.
But she still wore her shades. Just look at those chins!
Happy Labor day week to all. I hope you all enjoyed your Monday off if you had it off. Elise is settling into her new digs quite well. She is such a happy baby. We had a great time with her at Silver Dollar City (SDC). It was a good experience for Jason and I to figure how to pack everything. But we were able to get her oxygen bottle and Flolan pump into her diaper bag and still have room for diapers and other stuff! We had to switch oxygen pumps while we were there, try to feed her, give her meds, and change her. Oh yeah, and we got to practice running to the car in the pouring rain, trying to keep her dry while loading the car. The day was a true test of the stroller, diaper bag, and our abilities. She is still at 21ng on her flolan. We will increase her tomorrow to 22ng. Her oxygen is down to 1/2 liter, and we will keep weaning that back down as she tolerates it. Her feeding has gone in the crapper since coming home. When we left St. Louis she was taking 120ml with each feed during the day without much fuss. Well, she is down to taking only half of that and becoming very upset after about 5-10 minutes. So Jason and I are back to the drawing board on why she is regressing on her feedings. We had brainstormed about a few things, and are going to get this figured out since it is, and has always been, the most frustrating part. She's waking up from her nap now, so I better sign off. you dont know me...i am a friend of Gail and Dary..i have followed your blog since the beginning and am thrilled to see the progress Elise has made...i feel like i know her now and will miss seeing her grow up if you ever stop the blog...she is a beautiful and brave little girl
This is one happy baby! She looks so comfortable at home. Looks like you all had fun at Silver Dollar City, too, in spite of the rain. Love the pictures with Mable, too. Hope to come down and see you all real soon. What a beautiful family! Elise has the best parents ever! And so many friends and extended family that have been so touched by her story, and this blog. The people at the library are used to me sitting at the computer with tears running down my face; they are so happy that you are all finally home, too. Love you all, see you soon, Grandma Marcie
