24 weeks

Here is a 4 generation photo of Elise, Jason, Jason's Dad Gary, and Gary's Mom Mary. Jason looks thrilled to have his picture taken, doesn't he? Great Grandma Mary with Elise. She loves bath time! Look at those cheeks! Since she won't take a bottle anymore, we are trying to get her ready for baby food. But, she doesn't like anything put in her mouth if she doesn't do it herself. So for the last week we have been letting her play with her baby spoons. The hope is that she will get used to them in her mouth, and then we will be able to offer her baby food with the same spoons, and she'll be ok with them being in her mouth. I gave it a whirl today, and on the second meal she was starting to open her mouth and accept the food. I'm hoping that with a little time, she'll understand that food is a good thing, which will avoid her having to get a g-tube. She's gets pretty happy about all her spoons. This is her in awe of all the lights at Celebration City. It's an amusement park in Branson that is set up like a county fair. There were neon and flashing lights everywhere. She couldn't get enough of all the noises and lights. And here's Grandpa Paul pushing Elise in her stroller at Celebration City, doing a fabulous job. This was the most exciting part of our week. The rest consisted of cleaning up Elise's vomit after almost each meal. Yes she is still vomiting, but not as bad as last week. She is still tolerating her Flolan increases each week, and is happy everyday. We are still at 400ml on her oxygen, and she is satting very well on that. And she is up to a hefty 15 3/4 pounds!! My Mom and I took her out Friday to meet some of her friends who have been following the blog, so they could see her in person before we lock her up for the winter. Jason and I will soon be creating her little bubble for the winter here at the house to avoid ANY illnesses for her. I hope you all enjoy the video below, and have a great week. Love, Kristin
