Thank you everyone for sending weight gaining thoughts Elise's way. She is officially 9 pounds as of last night! Now lets hope she doesn't drop anymore. Yesterday the doctors put Elise under an oxygen hood to find out how much oxygen she is actually needing to maintain good saturation. The reason for this is because with the nasal cannula, there is moderate leakage around the cannula. So this hood gives them a better measurement of the amount she is using. They found that she uses 30%, which is great considering room air is 21%. She came out of the oxygen hood last night, and is back on nasal cannula today.

She has done well with bottle feeding, and hates her neck stretches. The results of her brain MRI were normal, and her neurological exam by the pediatric neurologist showed some minor troubles that are expected to resolve. So now we move on to the upper GI study to try and find out why she is vomiting. They will xray her abdomen tomorrow to make sure all the barium from the swallow study has passed, and then schedule her for the study. She is still occasionally vomiting, with no apparent pattern. And they have progressed her feedings to two hours on and two hours off, from 3 on and 1 off.

Thank you to everyone we asked to hold off visiting on Wed. She just didn't have the best of days. And thank you to Great Aunt Becky, Great Grandpa Chris, Grandma Jane, Aunt Christy, and my friend Sara who visited Elise today.

Jason and I are going to get away Saturday to celebrate our Anniversary, so I will update the blog tomorrow and Sunday, so we don't go three days without an update. I know there are many of you who check it on a regular basis, and I wouldn't want you to have to go 3 days without something to read :)
